UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Sunday condemned a deadly attack in the Old City of Jerusalem, voicing his firm belief that a negotiated two-state solution is the only "just and lasting solution" to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The secretary-general condemned "in the strongest terms" the attacks that occurred in Jerusalem's Old City on Saturday, including the killing of two Israeli family members and injuries to Israelis and Palestinians, said a statement issued here by Ban's spokesman.

Two Israeli men were killed, and two others injured in the stabbing and shooting attack, Israeli police said, who have reportedly restricted access to the Old City of Jerusalem. Endi
