11 killed in traffic accident in Ankara

At least 11 people were killed and eight others injured in a traffic accident in Turkish capital of Ankara on Thursday, daily Hurriyet reported on its website.

Brake failure was blamed for the accident in Cebeci district, in downtown Ankara, when the bus crashed into a bus stop.

It was not immediately known if there were any foreigners among the victims.

The site of the accident has been cordoned off and and an investigation was underway, the report said. Endit
