British FTSE 100 increases 2.58 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday increased by 2.58 percent, or 152.37 points, to close at 6,061.61 points.

Share price of commodities group Glencore increased by 14.11 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Sainsbury, Tesco, Morrison (Wm) Supermarkets and Aviva increased by 13.39 percent, 6.80 percent, 6.28 percent and 5.53 percent respectively.

Fresnillo led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 1.17 percent, followed by Berkeley Group Holdings (0.15 percent). Endit
