Typhoon Dujuan causes losses of 1.4 bln yuan

Typhoon Dujuan has caused economic losses of 1.4 billion yuan (250 million U.S. dollars) since it made landfall in east China's Fujian and Zhejiang provinces, according to an official assessment.

It has affected nearly one million people and 57,000 hectares of farmland in Fujian and Zhejiang, said the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters on Wednesday.

No casualties or injuries have been reported.

Dujuan, the 21st typhoon this year, made landfall in Fujian on Tuesday morning, packing winds of up to 33 meters per second.

It killed two people and injured 324 in Taiwan. Endi
