Singapore stocks close 0.14 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 3.98 points, or 0.14 percent, to close at 2,787.94.

A total of 1.23 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 28 billion Singapore dollars (898 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 271 to 126, while 538 others finished unchanged.
