Many were feared killed as an overcrowded mechanized boat carrying nearly 200 people Monday capsized in northeast Indian state Assam's river Kolohi in Kamrup district, said police.

While details on the casualty is not known yet, there are no reports yet on any passenger being rescued.

The engine of the boat broke down and the boat hit the base of a bridge before capsizing, said police. Endi
