-- About 2.8 million vehicles in Germany are affected by the manipulation of emissions measurement system on diesel cars at Volkswagen, German Transport Minister Alexander Dobrindt said on Friday in the German Bundestag. The emissions scandal at Volkswagen not only affects diesel passenger cars, but also light commercial vehicles.

-- German cities and municipalities urge the German states to forward billions of euros for the refugee aid promised by the German Government to them.
