Jelena Jankovic reeled off 11 games to end the run of dark horse Denisa Allertova in the final on Sunday, lifting her 14th WTA trophy here in Guangzhou Open.

Taking out top seed and world No. 2 Simona Halep in quarterfinal and the third seed Sara Errani in the semifinal, Allertova managed to break first for a 2-1 lead. But Jankovic came back strong to the match, firing 10 aces, reeling off 11 games to win the final 6-2, 6-0.

"My opponent played very well before, she won Halep and Errani. But today I played agressively and served well," Jankovic said.

"It's amazing to win a title in China for the second time this year, obviously China is very special to me," Jankovic said, who had won a WTA 125K Series title in Nanchang, China earlier this summer.

"I really want to thank the fans for supporting me for such a long time whenever I come to China." she added.

Allertova, who had only experienced her first WTA tournament final, was actually enjoying the best week so far in her career.

"I'm so happy I could beat so many good players and play my first final. Jelena was too good, but I'm happy with my week." The 22-year-old said. Endi
