Singapore stocks close 0.46 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 13.10 points, or 0.46 percent, to close at 2,832.64.

A total of 1.37 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 19 billion Singapore dollars (838 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 207 to 189, while 543 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 22.73 points, or 0.79 percent, to close at 2, 845.74 on Wednesday. Endi
