China opposes Taiwan party leader's visit to Japan

Xinhua, September 25, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Chinese mainland expresses strong concern and firm opposition to Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party Chairwoman Tsai Ing-wen's scheduled trip to Japan next month, a spokesman said on Friday.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei called on Japan to adhere to the one-China principle and honor its commitment to China on Taiwan-related issues.
