S. Korea takes easy victory over Singapore 87-45

South Korea enjoyed an easy victory over Singapore 87-45 at 2015 FIBA Asia Championship of men's basketball here on Friday.

With team captain Yang Donggeun, Park Chan Hee and Cho Sungmin sitting on the bench to recover from the tiredness of losing to China 73-76 last night, South Korea still managed to have a 26-13 start in the first quarter.

Kwek Wei Meng contributed four of eight points of Singapore in the second quarter but they were still 21-45 down before the halftime break. South Korea gradually established a 30-point advantage with Kim Jongkyu's consecutive four points in the paint zone.

Ng Hanbin hit two three-pointers to lift Singapore in the third quarter. In the last 10 minutes, Lee Junghyun shone behind the arc by scoring seven in a row with two three pointers and an added free throw to help South Korea finish with 87-45.

South Korea gave out 22 assists in the match while Singapore had eight, they were also leading in steal with 10 to three.

With four players scoring double-digits, Kim Jongkyu led South Korea with 17 points and 10 rebounds while Kwek Wei Meng had team-high 12 points for Singapore. Endite
