23 suspected terrorists captured in Afghanistan

Xinhua, September 23, 2015 Adjust font size:

Afghanistan's intelligence agency, the National Directorate of Security (NDS), has captured 23 suspected terrorists before the largest annual religious festival of Eid-al-Adha, a local television reported on Wednesday.

"A total of 23 terrorists, including seven Pakistani nationals, have been arrested in a series of operations by NDS over the past few days," Tolo television said.

Quoting a statement of the NDS, the television reported the arrested militants had planned to disrupt Eid-al-Adha celebrations in the militancy-plagued country.

Afghans are going to celebrate the Eid-al-Adha, which falls on Thursday, as the government has already beefed up security across the country. Endi
