Hong Kong, China beats Kuwait in FIBA Asia Championship opener

Lee Ki's 15 points led Hong Kong, China to their first group match victory over Kuwait at the 2015 FIBA Asia Championships here on Wednesday.

A 25-11 third quarter secured Hong Kong, China the win and almost a berth in the second round as the top three teams in each group will qualify.

Hong Kong, China extended their lead to as many as 37 points in the final period as five players scored in double-digits. Lee finished with 15 points and four steals while Duncan Reid had a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Mashari Abu Dhom led Kuwait with 15. Endi
