Chinese ambassador presents state credential to Angolan president

New Chinese Ambassador to Luanda Cui Aiming on monday presented state credential to Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos.

During the ceremony, the new envoy conveyed greetings and good wishes from Chinese President Xi Jinping to Eduoardo dos Santos and commended Angola as an important strategic partner of China in Africa, and the Chinese government attached great importance to the development of Sino-Angolan ties.

The ambassador pledged to explore new areas of cooperation between the two countries during his tenure in Luanda and work hard for the implementation of bilateral agreements signed during the Angolan leader's visit to Beijing in June.

President Eduardo dos Santso welcomed Cui to work in Luanda, and lauded China as a rising power which played an important role in world affairs and provided strong support to the social-economic development of the African country.

He said Angola hoped to strengthen cooperation with China in various fields and to establish closer strategic ties between the two countries to deal with challenges and difficulties and work for the development and revitalization of the two countries. Endit
