Croatian minister says most refugees have left Croatia

Xinhua, September 19, 2015 Adjust font size:

Croatian Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic said on Saturday that most of the refugees entering the country in previous days have left, but around 2,000 remained at the train station in Tovarnik, the town near the border with Serbia.

The situation in Tovarnik was still critical due to limited capacity of transportation, he said, adding other refugees had been transported to the border with Hungary, and Slovenia had started letting refugees in at the border crossings of Harmica and Bregana.

The border crossings of Gorican and Botovo with Hungary and border crossings on the border with Slovenia would be used to transport the refugees, he confirmed.

On Friday, Ostojic had said that over 40 buses at the Gorican border crossing were ready for transporting refugees to Hungary on Friday evening. Enditem
