Refugees in Croatia transported to Hungary

Xinhua, September 19, 2015 Adjust font size:

Croatian Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic said on Friday that Plan B had been put into action and around 1,500 refugees had been transported toward the Hungarian border.

The refugees, who entered into Croatia on Thursday, would be transported toward Hungary where they can seek international protection, he added.

The pressure in Tovarnik, the main entrance of refugees from Serbia, had been reduced, the minister said, adding no incidents had been reported so far.

Police from Osijek-Baranja County in eastern Croatia said around 1000 refugees have been transported by bus across the border to Hungary and more would arrive at the Hungarian border, Croatian News Agency Hina reported.

Hungary is organizing to transport them to the border with Austria, according to the report. Enditem
