Xinhua, September 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

At least three terrorists were killed while attacking an air base in Pakistan's northwestern provincial capital of Peshawar early Friday, a military spokesman said.

Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Asim Bajwa said the terrorists launched an attack on a Pakistan Air Force base on early Friday morning.

Initial information suggested that seven to 10 militants stormed the base, he said.

He said three assailants have been killed so far. "Terrorists engaged (were) contained around guard room area," he said on his official Twitter.

"Quick reaction force reached, surrounded and isolated them," the spokesman said, adding that the gunfight continued. Endi
