Tokyo shares end higher by break on U.S. gains

Tokyo shares ended the morning session higher on Thursday tracing gains in the overnight U.S. market.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 152.07 points, or 0. 84 percent, from Wednesday to 18,323.67.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 9.02 points, or 0.61 percent, at 1,481. 62. Endi
