Japan's August trade deficit stands at 569.7 bln yen

Japan's trade deficit for August stood at 569.7 billion yen (about 4.72 billion U.S. dollars), the Finance Ministry here said Thursday.

On a customs-cleared basis, the world's third largest economy's exports rose 3.1 percent on year, while imports dropped 3.1 percent, the ministry said in a preliminary report. Endi
