Xinhua, September 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

A 15th-minute goal by Samira Suleman was enough to send Ghana's Black Queens past Cote d'Ivoire on Tuesday in the first semifinal of the 2015 All Africa Games women's football.

The Ghana team that only needed winning the drawing of lots against South Africa to qualify for the semis after they had tied in points and goals were this time a rejuvenated side.

In-front of a fair crowd at the Stade Kintele Stadium, Ghana pressed for longer spells of the game but Cote d'Ivoire also had their chances through Niamien Adjoua Edwige Sandline and Koko Ange Mariette Christelle N' Guessan.

In the group stages Ghana drew 1-1 with the defending Cameroon and 0-0 with South Africa.

"We now need to concentrate and focus on the final because it will not be an easy one," said Ghana's Coach Yussif Basigi. Endi
