Albania's services sector in an upward trend

Xinhua, September 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

The value added by the services sector in Albania showed an upward trend, Albania's Daily News quoted a report by the Bank of Albania as saying on Wednesday.

The services sector accounted for around 45.4 percent of the nominal gross domestic product (GDP) for 2014, the highest share, the report said.

The industry and construction sectors showed higher volatility than other sectors.

The uptrend in the industry sector is reflected in the higher share it takes in the GDP, up from 9 percent in 2008 to 12 percent in 2014, whereas the downward dynamics of the construction sector reduced its share in the GDP from 16 percent in 2008 to 10 percent in 2014. Endi
