Bangladeshi FM meets with Malaysian delegation on overseas employment

Bangladeshi Foreign Minister A H Mahmood Ali has met a visiting Malaysian delegation led by Datuk Seri Haji Saripuddin Bin Haji, secretary general of the country's Ministry of Human Resources, here in capital Dhaka.

During the meeting, Secretary General Haji Saripuddin informed the Bangladeshi foreign minister that Malaysia wants to fulfill a significant portion of the demand for extra work force from Bangladesh.

He also mentioned that Malaysia has a plan to declare Bangladesh as a "source country for labor force" officially.

He stated that Malaysia has opened all of its sectors including construction and services.

Foreign Minister Mahmood Ali apprised the Secretary General Haji Saripuddin various initiatives taken by Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the welfare of Bangladesh workers employed abroad or intend to go for foreign employment. Endi
