1st LD: 6 killed, 43 injured in central Pakistan blast

At least six people were killed and 43 others injured when a bomb went off in Pakistan's central Multan city on Sunday night, officials said.

Deputy Superintendent Police Zahid Saleem Gondal said the explosion happened at Vihari Road area of Multan, a city in the country's east Punjab province.

Several vehicles and shops were destroyed in the blast, and the injured people have been shifted to a nearby hospital.

Police cordoned off the area and kicked off investigations.

Nature and target of the blast have not been determined yet. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attack and directed hospital administration to provide best possible medical facilities to the injured. Endi
