At least seven people were killed Friday by a huge explosion which hit the camp of internally displaced persons (IDPs) situated in Nigeria's Yola city, capital of the northeastern state of Adamawa, authorities of the National Emergency Management Agency said.

Twenty people were injured in the bomb blast early Friday at Malkohi area of the province where the camp is situated, according to a statement signed by Sani Datti, a spokesperson of the rescue agency. (Kenya-Explosion)

WASHINGTON -- One man was shot and another woman was stabbed at Washington D.C.'s Union Station Friday as the country was commemorating the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, according to local police.

The stabbing and shooting happened early Friday afternoon and were isolated incidents, said the police source. (U.S.-Terrorist Attacks)

RIYADH -- Death toll has risen again to 107 dead, and 238 injured in crane crash in the grand mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia's State TV said Friday.

Al Arabiya television earlier said the crane had fallen because of strong storms. Saudi Arabia has been hit by strong sand storms in the last few days.

CAIRO -- Egypt's army killed at least 98 militants Friday in a "major military operation" against the Islamic State group in the Sinai Peninsula, military spokesman Mohamed Samir said in a statement.

"In resuming its efforts to eliminate terrorist elements around North Sinai, the air forces in coordination with the artillery and navel forces have killed 98 jihadists," the statement added. (Egypt-IS) Endi
