French stock market index down 1.46 pct on Thursday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 fell 1.46 percent to close at 4,596.53 points on Thursday, down 68.06 points.

The CAC 40 of Paris closed lower on Thursday with 38 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease, while Veolia Environnement stayed the same as previous trading day.

The three companies whose stock dropped most on Thursday were ArcelorMittal, down 4.04 percent, Carrefour, down 3.25 percent, and Technip, down 3.09 percent.

The only gainer on Thursday was Bouygues, up 1.07 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained an advance of 1.44 percent to close at 4,664.59 points, up 66.33 points. Endit
