LME base metals mostly higher

The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) were mostly higher on Wednesday, with copper climbing to 7-week high.
Metals moved higher on short-covering following a recovery in equities in China and news earlier this week that Glencore will cut copper output by 400,000 tonnes.
In the metals, the three-month unofficial copper price rose 33 U.S. dollars, or 0.62 percent, to 5,356 U.S. dollars per tonne.
In other metals, the three-month unofficial aluminium price was up 9 U.S. dollars, or 0.55 percent, to 1,639.5 U.S. dollars a tonne. The three-month unofficial lead price was up 22 U.S. dollars, or 1.30 percent, to 1,713 U.S. dollars a tonne.
Meanwhile, the three-month unofficial zinc price rose 8 U.S. dollars, or 0.44 percent, to 1,820 U.S. dollars a tonne.
The three-month unofficial nickel price lost 37.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.37 percent, to 10,012.5 U.S. dollars a tonne. The three-month unofficial tin price was up 87.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.58 percent, to 15,112.5 U.S. dollars a tonne. Endit
