China still promotion for world growth: premier

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said on Wednesday China's economy is within a proper range and is still an important promotion for world economic growth.

Li made the remarks while meeting World Economic Forum Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab and global business leaders ahead of the annual meeting of the New Champions, also known as the Summer Davos Forum, in Dalian of Liaoning Province.

Li said all countries, facing the turbulent world economic situation and fragile recovery, should jointly map out a blueprint for the future development of world economy, and give full play of their own advantages and make concerted efforts in this regard.

He said the basis for a generally stable development of China's economy was not changed. The Chinese government was able to maintain a medium-high rate of growth and move the Chinese economy toward medium-high level of development.

China will continue to conduct comprehensive reform and opening up, he said.

Li noted that to develop real economy and combine all sides' supply and demand to foster new growth points is the key to coping with economic downward pressure.

The international capacity cooperation initiated by China makes full use of China's productivity and advantage in equipment manufacturing and high-end products and advanced technologies of developed countries, which will help developing countries' industrial and modernization process and also provide support for world economic recovery, Li said.

The premier also said that China was ready to work with multinational corporations to develop the Chinese market and with third parties to realize reciprocity.

Schwab said the increasing influence of the Summer Davos Forum showcased confidence of the international community in China's economic growth.

He said the World Economic Forum will further strengthen cooperation with China.

Schwab and the attendees also expressed their willingness to conduct capacity cooperation with China. Endi
