The 25th edition of Poland's annual economy forum kicked off in southern Poland on Tuesday.

The three-day event, called Polish Davos, also included also a Chinese evening entitled "Silk Road towards Krynica."

As in previous years, more than 3,000 participants representing 60 countries from Europe, Asia and America, including political, economic and social leaders, took part in the event.

The Chinese panel included speeches of representatives from Jilin, Hunan and Shaanxi provinces. As well, representatives of Gansu and Guizhou provinces took the floor during other panels. The Director General of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) gave a separate speech on the position of women in business and politics.

The panel was a good opportunity to explore and consider the role of Poland and the whole Eastern European region in view of the strategic projects of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the Maritime Silk Road. Discussions took place about the possibility of increasing cooperation between Poland and various Chinese regions.

The 25th economic forum includes more than 170 events - debates, program blocks, plenary sessions, presentations of reports - in 12 topical tracks. The forum will hold five plenary sessions and over 150 discussion panels, presentations and lectures run in a number of thematic groups.
