Vietnamese top chess grandmaster remains 49th in world

Vietnamese chess grandmaster Le Quang Liem retained his 49th position among active players worldwide in the latest rankings of the World Chess Federation in September.

In the continental rank in Asia, Liem stays at 12th place among active players. Liem's Elo rating is now 2697, instead of the previous Elo of 2699 in August rankings.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son, another Vietnamese male grandmaster, ranks 132nd worldwide among active players with an Elo rating of 2634.

Pham Le Thao Nguyen, Vietnamese woman grandmaster, ranks 153rd in September rankings with an Elo rating of 2319. Endit
