Xinhua, September 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

As the 55th IFA consumer electronics fair, Europe's largest consumer electronics and home appliances fair, kicked off on Friday in Berlin, China Brand Show also held its first opening ceremony at IFA.

"The Opening Ceremony of China Brand Show" hosted by China Chamber of Commerce for Machinery and Electronic Products Import and Export (CCCME) includes Haier, Hisense, TCL, Changhong, Midea, Gree, Galanz and other 16 leading Chinese home appliance brands to showcase trends and achievements in China's home appliance industry in Berlin.

Jin Hong, with Trade Development Bureau under Chinese Ministry of Commerce, in her opening speech said Chinese Ministry of Commerce held for the first time "China brand show" with IFA in a bid to promote Chinese home appliances and consumer electronics products.

The development of the Chinese household appliance industry in the past 40 years "wasn't all plain sailing," said Zhipu Yu, senior trade commissioner of CCCME.

Currently China has the world's largest capacity in refrigerators, television sets, microwave ovens, air conditioners, mobile phones and some small household electrical appliances, while China has become the largest market for household appliances, he added.

According to Jens Heithecker, executive director of IFA, more than 150 exhibitors from China would present their latest products at this year's IFA.

"It's not only about the number of exhibitors, the number of the companies. It's about the quality of products, quality of brand communication that these chinese companies are doing," he said.

According to staff at China Brand Show, products of the highest level of today's Chinese electronic home appliances research and development, design, engineering and manufacture can be seen at this IFA fair.

While China's leading home appliance maker Haier presented its Dual-Drum washing machines and T-Door Series of refrigerators, which can be controlled by smart phone or portable device through App, Chinese leading TV manufacturer Hisense showcased its laser TV and ULED surface TV.

From Sept. 4-9, IFA will have a total of 1,645 exhibitors from all over the world to showcase their new products and services in the electronics industry. Enditem
