At least 10 people were killed and dozens were injured in two bomb attacks in northern Cameroon on Thursday, an army source said.

The first bomb exploded in a market in the northern town of Kerawa, located on the border with Nigeria, while a second bombing struck a nearby military camp, killing at least 10 people, said the source, who requested anonymity. (Cameroon-Blasts)

PARIS -- A piece of plane debris found on the French Indian Ocean island of La Reunion at the end of July was certainly a part Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 reported missing in March 2014, Paris prosecutor Francois Molins announced Thursday.

"It's possible to confirm with certainty that the flaperon discovered in Reunion on July 29 corresponds to the flight MH370," Molins said. (France-MH370)

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Department of Defense said Thursday it has directed an immediate safety review at all nine labs and facilities involved in the handling of select agents and toxins.

The review follows the discovery of live anthrax outside a containment area at a military lab in the state of Utah and "incorrect or incomplete record keeping" at two other military labs, the department said. (U.S.-Security)

UNITED NATIONS -- More than 100 heads of state and government will gather here later this month for the UN Sustainable Development Summit to adopt the sustainable development agenda that lasts through 2030, the world body announced Thursday.

An outcome document "Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development," which includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), is due to be adopted at the summit to be held from Sept.25-27 at the UN Headquarters in New York, said the UN Department of Public Information in an advisory to the press.
