German engineering giant Siemens AG made it possible for customers to checke food stocks in the refrigerator while away from home, as the company offers refrigerators with built-in cameras, whose images can be sent into the smartphone or mobile phone, as well as a great variety of networked household appliances.

Germany's leading industrial group Bosch showed its award-winning "Home Connect" app which can network not only cooktops, ovens and recipe book, but also the other major household appliances from Bosch.

Whoever starts his machine with the app, receives the note when selecting washing places and temperature again: "Before washing, please empty the pockets," as CEO Harald Friedrich demonstrated.

The washing machine automatically sends a message on smartphone or tablet, when the detergent supply is low. "One click to the shop, three more clicks", and the order is completed, said Axel Kniehl, marketing director of Miele.
