Jordan to attend 15th Czech NATO Days

Xinhua, September 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

Jordan will attend the 15th NATO Days and Czech Air Force Days to be held during the weekend of Sept. 19-20 at the Ostrava-Mosnov international airport for the first time this year.

Jordan will be represented by an elite unit of special forces comprised solely of women, the organizers of the event said at a press conference on Thursday.

This will be the first presentation for the Female Company for Special Security Tasks (FCSST) outside Jordan in its history.

Zbynek Pavlacik, chairman of the Jagello 2000 association, the major organizer of the event, said the FCSST members represent the top Jordanian security forces.

The Jordanian women will train a spectacular dynamic show together with their Czech colleagues from the 102nd reconnaissance battalion from Prostejov, south Moravia.

Pavlacik said Jordan is now one of the frontline countries fighting directly and actively against Islamic State.

On Sept. 20, a P-3 Orion aircraft of Norwegian Royal Air Force will perform a flyby in Czech Republic for the first time.

Polish aerobatic group Orlik flying turboprop aircraft and a U.S. CV-22B Osprey convertiplane will also participate in the event. Czech will present a L-39NG Jet Demonstrator, successor to the legendary Aero L-39 Albatros.

Sweden will be the special partner state for this year's event. It will be the first country to fly its heavy ground equipment to Mosnov.

The 15th NATO Days will be joined by military and security forces of 16 countries. Endit
