Azerbaijan, Croatia have goalless draw in UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying tournament

Azerbaijan's national football team held Croatia to a 0-0 draw in UEFA Euro 2016 Group H qualifying tournament at Bakcell Arena stadium here on Thursday.

Croatia's best chance coming in the 65th minute when Mario Mandzukic got face-to-face with Azerbaijani goalkeeper Kamran Agayev was easily blocked off.

Though the temperature of 28 degrees Celsius was perfect for football, it wasn't a match of high quality attacking play. Both sides run out the clock, making unsuccessful efforts in attacking in the rest of the match, but neither managed to score.

Croatia is on top in group H with 14 points. Italy is second with 12 points, Norway is third with 10 points. Bulgaria has scored 6, Azerbaijan - 5, Malta - 1 point.

Group H of the UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying tournament is one of the nine groups to decide the teams which qualify for the UEFA Euro 2016 finals tournament.

Group H consists of six teams: Italy, Croatia, Norway, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan and Malta, where they play against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format. Endit
