Refugees paralyze Budapest railway station

Refugees on Thursday paralyzed Budapest's Eastern (Keleti) railway station after the withdrawal of police who had blocked them for two days.

Many of the roughly 3,000 refugees camping by the station climbed aboard trains, particularly one scheduled to leave for the western border city of Sopron, InfoRadio reported.

Loudspeakers repeated the message in Hungarian and English that no trains would be crossing into Western Europe but most people failed to get the message due to the chaos and cacophony. Endi
