China's top legislator meets Polish parliament speaker

China's top legislator Zhang Dejiang on Thursday met with Malgorzata Kidawa-Blonska, speaker of the lower house of Polish Parliament, the Sejm.

Zhang Dejiang, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, appreciated Kidawa-Blonska's attendance to China's V-Day celebrations held Thursday morning.

Zhang said as two countries that both fell victims of and made great contributions to the anti-Fascist war, China and Poland should remember history and safeguard the victory results of WWII and world justice.

Zhang added that the bilateral ties between the two countries witnessed rapid development since the establishment of diplomatic ties 66 years ago, and now China's Belt and Road Initiative provided new chance to China-Poland relations. China's NPC is willing to making exchanges and cooperation with Polish parliament.

Kidawa-Blonska said Poland highly values relations with China. Poland is willing to actively join the Belt and Road Initiative and deepen cooperation with China in all fields. Endi
