French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius will fly to Beijing on Thursday to participate in China's celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World anti-Fascist War, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Wednesday.

France's top diplomat will "pay tribute to the millions of victims of the conflict in Asia, alongside the UN secretary-general," the Quai d'Orsay said in a statement.

During his 11th visit to China, Fabius will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang, as well as his counterpart Wang Yi, according to the statement. Endit
