A Thai court on Wednesday approved an arrest warrant for the eighth suspect in two recent bomb attacks in Bangkok, local media reported.

The warrant was issued by the Min Buri Provincial Court for the Turkish husband of Wanna Suansan, the only female suspect in the explosion at Erawan Shrine in downtown Bangkok on Aug. 17 a separate one at the Sathorn pier on the following day, according to Bangkok Post. (Thailand-Bombing-Suspect)

MACAO -- Chui Sai On, chief executive of China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), pledged on Wednesday the budget control which took effect Tuesday would not affect people's livelihood and social welfare.

He made the remarks at the airport before leaving for Beijing to attend celebration events marking the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and the victory of the war of China's resistance against Japan. (Macao-Austerity)

KUALA LUMPUR -- The Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project is slated to start in 2017 and will be completed by 2022, according to a Wednesday report of Bernama, Malaysia's state news agency.

It quoted Prodyutt Dutt, chief development officer of the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD), as saying that the contract should be out in 2017 and it would take five years to complete the project. (Malaysia-Singapore-High Speed Rail)

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Wednesday said that unprovoked Indian firing is not only an "aggression against the people of Kashmir but also amounts to targeting the conscience of the world community."
