Iceland sees services trade surplus increase in Q2

Iceland saw its balance of services trade increase to a surplus of 54.7 billion Icelandic krona (425.3 million U.S. dollars) in the second quarter of 2015, up from 32.14 billion Icelandic krona in the second quarter of 2014, Statistics Iceland said Tuesday.

According to preliminary figures, Iceland's export of services in the second quarter was about 148.98 billion Icelandic krona and the import of services was 94.28 billion.

With a trade surplus of 33.6 billion, travel was the top earner of trade surplus in the country's service sector, according to Statistics Iceland. Endit
