Hamburg sign Wolfsburg's midfielder Aaron Hunt

Xinhua, September 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

The "HSV" reinforced their squad with the signing of midfielder Aaron Hunt, the Bundesliga team confirmed via the club's official homepage on Monday.

The 28-year-old midfielder never made the breakthrough at Wolfsburg. Hunt agreed thus on a transfer to league rivals Hamburg where he penned a three year deal that keeps until June 2018 with the "Rothosen".

"We are very glad that we were able to sign a player of this quality just before the end of the transfer window. Aaron Hunt will strengthen us and give us more stability," said Hamburg coach Bruno Labbadia.

Since his commitment at Wolfsburg in 2014 he made only 17 appearances to score two goals.

"The HSV made constant efforts to sign me. I had very good talks with Bruno Labbadia and Peter Knaebel. I am very happy that it worked out," said Hunt.
