Urgent: U.S. stocks decline to close out August

U.S. stocks dropped on Monday, as recent economic data fueled speculations that the Federal Reserve will begin raising interest rates as from September.

The Dow fell nearly 0.7 percent, and the S&P 500 lost 0.8 percent, while the Nasdaq was down 1.1 percent. Endit
