Czech President Zeman to meet Putin in China

Xinhua, September 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

Czech President Milos Zeman is to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his upcoming visit to China, Zeman's spokesman Jiri Ovcacek confirmed on Monday after Russian news agency TASS released the information also on Monday.

During the meeting, scheduled for Sept. 3, the two leaders will discuss security and economic issues, Ovacek said.

The last time Zeman met with Putin was in May this year in Moscow when they attended the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II on European battlefields.

Their conversation then was focused on economic cooperation, with an emphasis on Czech claims in Russia. Endit
