No special trains launched for Chinese tourists in Swiss hotspot: official

Recent media reports stating that special trains were launched to cater to Chinese tourists visiting Mount Rigi in central Switzerland were "incorrect," Rigi Bahnen AG's head of services and CFO Marcel Waldis told Xinhua Monday.
While it is true that a special service exists for tourist groups seeking to reach the top of the mountain directly without any intermediary stops, Waldis indicated that "this express train is for groups from everywhere in the world, including China, Britain, the United States and Germany."
"We are very happy that we have a lot of groups from China," Waldis said.
Climbing what some locals call the "Queen of the Mountains," the railway network was the first cogwheel trains to be used in Europe.
Waldis estimated that between 15 and 20 percent of the tourists visiting the historical and natural landmark are Chinese, while 70 percent hail from Switzerland itself. Endit
