Thai authorities are hunting for a Thai woman after bomb-making materials were found in her rented apartment in Bangkok's Min Buri district, police spokesman Prawut Thawornsiri said Monday.

Police searched the room at Maimuna Garden Home on Sunday, and seized a number of items that could be used to make bombs, including urea, six bottles of powder, electrical wiring, wristwatches and walkie talkie, Prawut said at a televised press briefing. (Thailand-Explosion-Suspect)

HERAT, Afghanistan -- More than 100 girl students were hospitalized following a possible gas poisoning at a school in Herat city, capital of Afghanistan's western province of Herat on Monday, an official said.

"Some 100 students of a local high school were hospitalized Monday morning after they felt dizzy and several had fallen unconscious," a provincial hospital spokesman Raffiq Shirzai told Xinhua. (Afghanistan-Gas Poisoning)

JAKARTA -- More than 40,000 workers will take to the streets in Indonesia nationwide Tuesday to demand government take measures to avoid mass layoff and restrict entry of foreign workers, a labor union official announced here Monday.

Said Iqbal, president of the Confederation of Indonesian Workers Union (KSPI) said the workers will have a long march in downtown Jakarta and 20 other cities to express their demand. ( Indonesia-Protest)

PHNOM PENH -- Some 185,451 hectares of rice seedlings have been affected by drought in some areas in 13 provinces and cities of Cambodia, according to a report by Agriculture Minister Ouk Rabun, released to the media Monday.
