(Sports) World Cup golden medal goes to Chinese female snowboarder Cai Xuetong

World-class Chinese female snowboard player Cai Xuetong won the championship of FIS Snowboard World Cup Halfpipe (Ladies) at the Cardrona Alpine Resort, New Zealand, during the Audi quattro Winter Games 2015 on Sunday.

Cai got 88.00 points in her first run to secure the leading position in the competition, while scoring 70.50 and 74.75 for the last two runs.

The major competitor of Cai is Kelly Clark, former Olympic golden medalist. However, Clark's landing performances all ended in failures. She got 48.25, 13.25 and 17.75 for the three runs, ranking the last in the final.

Japanese player Hikaru Oe and French player Sophie Rodriguez took the second and the third place in the final, respectively. Sun Zhifeng, another Chinese player in the final, ranked fifth.

For the men's game, Japanese player Raibu Katayama and Taku Hiraoka won the first and second place. Olympic golden medalist, Swiss snowboarder Iouri Podladtchikov ranked the third.
