Spearheaded by their three-time women's 100-meter world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, defending champions Jamaica claimed the 4x100m relay title with a championships record here on Saturday at the 2015 Beijing worlds.

Consisting of seasoned world and Olympic champion Veronica Campbell-Brown, Natasha Morrison, Elaine Thompson and Fraser-Pryce, Jamaica clocked 41.07 seconds to beat the previous record of 41.29 set by Jamaica two years ago in the Moscow worlds.

The United States finished second in 41.68 while Trinidad and Tobago set a national record of 42.03 to take bronze.

The Netherlands, led by the newly crowned 200m winner Dafne Schippers, was disqualified for passing the baton outside of the takeover zone. Endi
