Former steel chief under corruption investigation

The Communist Party of China's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) has opened an investigation into Deng Qilin, former president of major Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp.

The CCDI announced in a statement on Saturday that Deng is suspected of "severe violation of discipline and law." Endi
