Schalke signs Bayern youngster Pierre-Emile Hoejbjerg on loan

Xinhua, August 29, 2015 Adjust font size:

Denmark international Pierre-Emile Hoejbjerg agreed to join league rivals Schalke on loan, the German record champions confirmed in an official statement on Friday.

The 20-year-old Bayern midfielder will be loaned for a second time, after spending the last second half of the campaign at Augsburg, as he will play for the "Royal Blues" until June 2016.

"We still have very high hopes in Pierre-Emile Hoejbjerg and we see his future in Bayern Munich. In order to continue his development he needs match practise which he should get at Schalke," Bayern's sporting director Matthias Sammer said.

Hoejbjerg joined the German giants from his Danish youth club Brondby IF in the season 2012-2013. He made ever since 17 appearances and provided one assist.

On Friday night Schalke kicks off the third round in the Bundesliga against Wolfsburg. Endi
