Foreigner shot dead in Philippine capital

A foreigner was shot dead here by an unidentified motorcycle-riding gunman Thursday midnight, local police said on Friday.

Local media GMA reported that the foreigner was a Chinese national. But the police is still trying to identify the victim and his nationality.

Upon hearing the news of the gunshot, staff of the Chinese Consulate rushed to the police branch and urged the Philippine authorities to conduct thorough investigation into the case, said Li Lingxiao, spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy. Endi
