President Xi urges more care about young people

Chinese President Xi Jinping called for more attention to teenage development on Tuesday, saying their development bears upon the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Xi made the remarks in a written instruction at a conference that was held in Beijing to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of China Working Committee for Caring for the Next Generation.

The President urged all staff to continue providing services for young Chinese, help them with ideological and moral cultivation, and educate the young generation to follow the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

At the conference, Vice Premier Liu Yandong called for efforts to protect teenagers' lawful rights and interests and offer aid to those in need.

A total of 1,783 people were cited for their outstanding performance in the work of caring for young Chinese. More than 300 attendees participated in the meeting. Endi
